Earlier, Rucha Gujrathi successfully essayed Suhana's role. She opted out of the show when Gurdeep Kohli was roped in to play the parallel lead, which didn't go well with her. Then Jayshree Rao played Suhana for a few months. Kanchi Kaul has replaced her.

Now, the Bhabhi story will revolve around Dev, Suhana, Kamal and Gitanjali (Gurdip Kohli). The story goes like this -- Gitanjali, who is pregnant, loses her child and husband Udit in an accident. At the same time Dev (Vishal Singh) loses his wife Suhana in an accident too. Dev and Udit are friends. When Dev sees Gitanjali's condition in the hospital, he hands over his son Kamal to Gitanjali with the help of a doctor.

Gitanjali does not know that Kamal is Dev and Suhana's son. After five years, Dev meets Gitanjali and Kamal. Now Dev is attached to his son and his son also reciprocates. Dev's mother comes to know the truth and finally decides Gitanjali should marry Dev to bring Kamal back to their family. After Dev gets married to Gitanjali, his wife Suhana -- who was assumed dead and is now played by Kanchi -- makes an entry
