This movie is likely to attract attention because of its director. P Vasu, the man behind the super-successful Chandramukhi, teams up with Balakrishna after two decades (the combo's first venture was Sahasame Jeevitham). Balakrishna's look and Guru Kiran's Telugu debut is already generating much interest.

As usual, the film is a triangle with Meera Jasmine and Sneha as the lead heroines. But the surprise is Jayaprada, said to play a key role in the film. It will be interesting to watch Balakrishna and Jayaprada, as Jayaprada in her younger days acted with Balakrishna's father the late NT Rama Rao.

The movie is supposed to be a mix of action, comedy, sentiments and drama and Balakrishna has announced that the movie has everything. Balakrishna has had a dry patch with Allari Pidagu and Virabhadra, but can P Vasu will wave his magic wand is to be seen. Maharathi is scheduled to hit screens on January 10.
