The Tamil director with a difference

It was while shooting for AAdum Koothu that Cheran was fascinated by Navya Nair, a talented young actress. He chose to have her as his leading lady in his next directorial venture, Mayakkannadi. Unlike his earlier films which were set in rural Tamil Nadu, Mayakkanadi is set in Chennai. Both Cheran and Navya Nair act as hair stylists in the film. Like Cheran's all other films, this is also a movie to watch out for.
