A restless albeit, beautiful spirit (Dimple Kapadia) wanders among the ruins and encounters an architect (Vinod Khanna). Bewitched by her beauty and fascinated by her mysterious ways, he is convinced that there is more to their connection than meets the eye.

Gulzar's exquisite poetry combined with the stark surroundings give a haunting quality to the film.
