Story names: Gubbare / Matrimony / Zahir

Among the three stories I directed, Gubbare is very close to my heart, because I thought this was the first time I was narrating a story. If I look at my movie Kaante now, I feel what a show-off I was. I just wanted to show other directors how well I can shoot, my camera angles and all that, but by making Dus Kahaniyaan, I think I have attempted to do something different.

This is the first time I worked with Nana Patekar. He is such a brilliant actor. For the first time, there was no maar-dhaad in my movie. I loved the experience.

I made Dus Kahaniyaan because I thought if there can be a compilation of short stories in a book, then why not in a movie?
