Vaayuputhra, a family undertaking

Like Rajnikanth, there are quite a few actors from Karnataka who have made big in Tamil films, and one such actor is Arjun Sarja better known as just Arjun in Tamil.

Arjun Sarja, son of Kannada film industry's famous villain, the late Shakthi Prasad was introduced by well known Kannada director S V Rajendra Singh Babu in Simhada Mari Sainya, a children's film. Arjun moved to Chennai after working in a few Kannada films.

Today he is not only a big hero in Tamil but a successful producer and director too. He has acted not only in all the four south Indian languages but in Hindi as well. His latest Hindi film is Bharatiraja's Cinema and his co-star is none other than Nana Patekar.

Arjun's first Kannada production Thuththaa Muththaa with Ramesh Arvind and Prema happened many years ago. It was his brother Kishor Sarja who directed the film.
