An evening with the Bachchans
The event was described as the first of its kind. There had been demands that similar events be held elsewhere, especially at Cambridge University.
Amitabh, who spent nearly a week in New York, hardly made time for other engagements, wanting to concentrate on the Bachchan Sandhya.
But he did take a few hours off to attend a press conference on the world tour that the Bachchans would be taking. The tour will cover two dozen cities around the world.
Lara Dutta and Riteish Deshmukh are also expected to join the tour.
