Ketan Mehta's fine biopic of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (played superbly by Paresh Rawal) focused on his efforts to keep India secular and integrated.

Annu Kapoor played Gandhi, but he appeared a bit too self-conscious and weighed down by the expectations of his role.
