Upen Patel: Hot, and lovin' it!

Aware of his heavily accented language, Upen says he is working hard to improve and make his accent more Indian. "Subhash Ghai hired a Hindi teacher for me before we started working on 36 China Town," he says. "We went through diction improvement modules. The process is still on."

When questioned about reports of his voice being dubbed by artist Viraj Jadhav, he says, "I have dubbed myself for the film. Luckily, the character I play happens to be a guy brought up in Bangkok, so a slight twang in his speech is allowed. I am working hard on my diction though, and will continue to dub myself for my forthcoming films."
