Sakshi Shivanand: Rising Star Down South
You seem to be courting controversies very often. During the shooting of the Kannada film Sainika, you had said that you have a look-alike sister who has doubled for you many times.
That was a joke! When I was asked to act in an intimate scene, I told my co-star and producer Yogeeshwar that in such sequences, I generally would send my sister who would double up for me. Yogeeshwar took it seriously. He didn’t understand that I was just kidding him. He jumped the gun and told the media which of course, was blown out of proportions. I cleared the matter in several interviews thereafter. My sister Shilpa Anand is shorter than me and we don’t look alike at all. My name is Sakshi Shivanand as Shivanand is my father’s name. My sister is Shilpa Anand.
I thought the whole issue was forgotten but somehow this controversy still haunts me!
