I have never done an Indian song. Bhushan Lakhandari has choreographed this song. He is the coolest guruji I have ever seen. He asked me not to be scared, and just do what I wanted to. Nothing was really difficult. The language was definitely tough when I first heard it, but it goes with the film.
I read Othello when I was a child. I didn't read it again after signing up for Omkara. It is an adaptation from Vishal's point of view. I am an actor, which gives me freedom to do what I want to. I am the master of my own life. I have enjoyed this phase of ups and downs.
The best part is, I had no knowledge of the film industry when I started. Today, I have become a little intelligent, learning with time. The industry has given me respectability, despite my not coming from a film family. I feel really lucky. I am comfortable in my niche and with the kind of work I am doing.
