Golmaal found no takers on the first week of its release because it released when Mumbai was reeling under the bomb blasts in July.

People were scared to venture out to watch movies in theatres. But positive word-of-mouth saved the film and made it one of the top ten movies of the year.

Now, there are rumours of Golmaal 2.
