Gowtham Menon's ready with his next

Talk about a hitmaker.

Gowtham Menon, one of the brightest young Tamil filmmakers in Tamil is ready with his latest film Pachakili Muthucharam, to be released in December.

He has a dream track record. He started off with Minnale, a huge hit with Madhavan and Reema Sen. It was remade in Hindi as Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, but was a disaster at the box office.

His second film Kaakha Kaakha can be described as one of the slickest Tamil films. Another massive success, it made Surya what he is today, a star and a teenage heartthrob. Harris Jayaraj became the true successor to A R Rahman with these films.

But it took Gowtham more than two years to make his next film, Vettayadu Vilayadu, the biggest hit of 2006. The film faced a lot of trouble on the way to theatres, but once it got there, proved unstoppable.
