I was born and brought up in Bangalore. I can speak, understand and write in Kannada, though I am not as fluent as many other Kannada speakers. So, I thought it would be better to have a Kannada film as my launching vehicle. I also knew Indrajith from my younger days and his track record has been excellent.

More than anything else, the script and my role were good. I also get a chance to work with Uppi sir, a big star here.
