Asin and Nayanthara might be leading the race in Tamil now, but the day Trisha comes back to Tamil films, she will regain her top spot. Even today, the roles that have gone to Asin and Nayanthara were first offered to her.

Trisha's entry into films was through a beauty contest. It was Priyadarshan who gave her the first break in Lesa Lesa. Trisha, a thin, tall girl, burst onto the Tamil film scene when most of the heroines were plump.

She toppled Simran from the top position, delivering hit after hit with Vijay and Vikram.

Unfortunately, she was only an ornamental piece in those films. She moved to Telugu films as she was offered better roles.
