Vincent Gallo's The Brown Bunny, which was screened at the festival, sees him as an actor, producer, director, screenwriter, production designer, editor, and camera operator.

The film is about Bud Clay (Gallo), a motorcycle racer who travels around the US, competing in Formula 11 races and haunted by the love of his life Daisy (Chloe Sevigny).

His co-star Sevigny also stars in Lars von Trier's Dogville (also starring Nicole Kidman), which is also being premiered at Cannes.
