Vidheyan (1993)

Bhaskara Patelar is a feudal relic, an autocrat in a south Karnataka village, ruling not by traditional right but by virtue of his ability to create terror. Into this village come the simple Thommi and his wife -- soon, the former is drawn into Patelar's machinations as the autocrat decides to do away with his wife. The plan goes awry; the perpetrator, Thommi, is injured. Thommi and Patelar are forced to abscond -- deep in the wilderness that is their refuge, Thommi arrives at his own solution to problems not of his making.
