Darna Mana Hai marks the directorial debut of Prawaal Raman, formerly an assistant to Varma. The film was scheduled to release the same day as Sooraj R Barjatya's Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon. For reasons not explained, it was delayed.
Atul Sabharwal, Rajnish Thakur and Abbas Tyrewala have jointly penned the film, which weaves six fear-provoking plots.
