Viewers hate her, yet cannot wait to see her break up the Aggarwal family in Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki.
The Delhi-based former ramp model got into acting by chance. While doing her graduation, she entered the Femina Look of the Year contest. Designer Hemant Trevedi and model coordinator Lubna Adam spotted her. But the then 19-year-old Shweta wanted to complete her graduation.
Later, when she came down to Mumbai to enter the fashion world, she landed in television. The serial Suhana Safar on Zee marked her debut, followed by Yeh Kahan Aagaye Hum, Darr, Ghar Ek Mandir and Bandhan. She also anchors the show, Current Bollywood.
"It's a great feeling when young girls tell me they want to be like Pallavi," she says. "Of course, I do not want them to get influenced wrongly by this character and go about breaking their homes."
"I am committed to television," she declares. "Film schedules are awry. I cannot do both."
