The Congress has said that it did not want to politicise the Satyam scam and asserted that the Andhra Pradesh and central governments will protect the interests of the employees and the shareholders of the beleaguered company.
"We do not want to politicise the issue. The state government and the central governments will protect the interests of the employees and the shareholders," Congress media department chief M Veerappa Moily said.
Asked whether the Congress government in Andhra Pradesh was protecting the founder of Satyam Ramalinga Raju, Moily said when the complaint came, he (Raju) was arrested within an hour and the investigations are on.
Replying to another query about the alleged favouritism of the state government in awarding contracts to the sister organisations of Satyam, Moily said, "Talk to Gujarat, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh governments . . . All have given contracts."
