Following the 'saturation' of Bengaluru, the Karnataka government has been working towards making other centres in the state come up and be a part of the IT boom sweeping the nation.
Thus, Mysore too began to attract many an IT company. In the last five years, billions of dollars have been invested in Mysore, especially by IT majors to set up huge development centres.
