Tatas have abandoned projects earlier too

Hooda said that Haryana has emerged as an automobile components hub with many automobile companies setting up their units in the state.

He said that Nano was a much awaited car.

The chief minister said that Haryana housed to more than 50 per cent car manufacturers of the country and has major share in manufacturing of motor cycle, cycle, tractors and refrigeration units in the state.

He said that Haryana emerged as a separate political entity of the Indian union in the year 1966 and in last 40 years around, Rs 40,000 crore (Rs 400 billion) of investment had been made in the State.

On the contrary, in last three and a half years Haryana has already witnessed an investment of Rs 40,000 crore and an investment of about Rs 90,000 crore (Rs 900 billion) was in pipeline.

He said that present Haryana government had targeted an investment of Rs 2 lakh crore (Rs 2 trillion) in industrial sector so that around 20 lakh (2 million) people could get employment opportunities in the state.
