So if you are a buyer, you should hold off your idea of acquiring any property for now. However, once real estate prices drop further (analysts see the prices dropping between 25% and 35% from their peak rates in 2006-07) a fresh buying spree may begin.
A real estate boom or bust is also to some extent linked to the stock exchanges -- there is a boom when stock prices are rising and a slump when the stock market crashes. This is so because many investors channel their earning from the stock market into realty.
