What it does: Has focused on various aspects of the entertainment business including processing, producing and distributing movies, creating television programmes like Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hai and Dus Ka Dum, offering production facilities, running cinemas and a radio station, Big 92.7 FM. It also publishes the entertainment magazine, The Plot.
Promoters: Manmohan Shetty established and then sold the company to Anil Ambani's ADAG.

Did you know? Adlabs began as a laboratory for processing ad films in 1978. It entered mainstream cinema processing in 1989 and today processes around 70 per cent of all Hindi films produced in India. It entered the multiplex business in 2001 by launching India's first IMAX in Mumbai.
In the news: In May 2008, it launched India's first 6 D cinema experience in Agra. Adlabs Cinemas will build the country's largest multiplex -- with 15 screens and over 4,000 plus seats -- in Mumbai.
