The Rs 4,000-crore township that farmers built

What about security? You know that security in BPO sector, particularly in transportation of workers, is under national scrutiny today.

Pune is a circular city. It does not take very long to go from one end to another. It's not as if any vehicle can enter. We have a record of every employee, every car and driver. There is a central tracking system at the base camp. All are connected by radio. When an employee gets into a vehicle we know it here immediately. We know when he or she gets off. Radio contact is maintained at all times.

Anything else you would like to tell us?

We have a school here and we are planning a college. Not a professional one but a basic college. We will build a community centre. There are two sports complexes coming up. One has a 25,000 square feet gymnasium. We will have swimming pools. We will have six tennis courts that will be controlled by Nandan Bal, India's national coach.

We will a full-fledged ground where you can play football, hockey and cricket. We have an ex-Mohan Bagan player to start a football club. We have an ex-Ranji player to start a cricket academy. We will have 50,000 workers here and 40,000 residents.

How many more MNCs are coming in? How many are already here?

You can expect 20 more MNCs. Principal Finance and Option One are coming in shortly. EDS, EXL, John Deere and Aviva are already here. The rest are in the pipeline. What is the total cost of the project?

The total sale value is Rs 4,000 crore (Rs 40 billion).
