Sucheta Dalal received the Padma Shri for excellence in journalism.

The popular columnist and Financial Express consulting editor has been recognised for her investigative reporting that blew the lid off both the Harshad Mehta and the Ketan Mehta scams.

Incidentally Dalal is a member of the Narayana Murthy Committee on Corporate Governance .
