'It is budding & beautiful...give it a chance'

Mandarmani can turn out to be quite expensive due to lack of proper infrastructure, so find a hotel according to your budget. Don't be disappointed if the rooms are not that great, as most of the cost is being sucked in by the generators.

While at Mandarmani one can plan day trips to Shankarpur and Digha. Shankarpur seemed like a very pleasant beach resort. The Nest hotel here looked very comfortable and the rates were half of those in Mandarmani since Shankarpur has electricity. The advantage Mandarmani has over Shankarpur is that the hotels/ resorts are on the beach, while in Shankarpur one has to take a hotel bus to reach the beach.

Mandarmani is new, it is budding and it is beautiful. It has a long way to go in terms of hospitality and infrastructure, but give it a chance.
