'Anil Ambani drove me to be disciplined'

Do you remember any funny or memorable moments while training your more high-profile clients?

Well, there have been so many. Like the other day Kareena came to me and said, "Rujuta, I've become like your secretary. Everyone is calling me and asking for your number'. I thought that was funny. And you know, when you work with your clients, you gain and learn a lot from them.

I was not too punctual before I met Anil Ambani. He redefined the way I was working. He just puts in so much of dedication and determination into what he does. So just by working with him, my performance became better. Because he takes all your advice so seriously you feel that much more responsible.

Most people, when they travel abroad, skip their workouts for days after because they are jet-lagged. One day I knew he had just returned from London, and I was just waiting for that SMS saying, "Let's meet tomorrow."

So I called him. He said he wanted to train even though he had just slept four hours.

So I asked him, 'What about jet lag?' He told me that time and space is all in the mind. And while he worked out there were so signs of jet lag. And he was bang on time too! It's a humbling experience working with him.

Another time, I remember, I was running late and I messaged him, saying 'I'll be there at 7.30'. I reached at 7.25 and was quite excited when I saw he wasn't there because I thought I'd finally get to see him come late. But at sharp 7.29, he walked in, saying he knew I would be there at 7.30. So that's something that really drove me to be disciplined.
