'Being on a diet is about eating your normal food'

What's your take on diets like Atkins or no-carbs or crash diets etc?

They are excellent if you simply want to lose weight. But is that what you want? You need to ask yourself that. We all want to look younger, prettier, have more energy. Any diet that cuts down on a particular component and glorifies another, like those that say you can eat any amount of protein but no carbohydrates, will always leave your body weaker. It will break down your muscle fibre and bone tissue -- which is what happens when you are in a diseased state. You'll get irritable and lose sleep.

So you will get thin but will lose your vitality, charm and energy at the end. And the moment you start eating normal food, you gain double back. Being on a diet is about eating your normal food, just eat it more sensibly.
