Gameplay is vastly superior
April 8, 2009
Internally, the main changes are the choices between a 2.0GHz and a 2.4GHz Intel 2 Core Duo processor, 2GB RAM, greater hard disk space and an NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics processor. The combined boost of the 2GB RAM with the NVIDIA 9400M graphics should improve the graphics processor. It displays the graphics in far more detail with its integrated gratphics chip.
Gameplay proved vastly superior with the game much more responsive and smooth without the occasional stuttering audio. If you are a game player on a Macintosh operating system, the MacBook's new graphic processor will provide a reasonable video gaming experience. There is not much of a speed increase, however, for simple tasks.
Being a college student, my basic laptop needs are easy surfing on the net, music capabilities, compatibility and smooth running. Internet surfing is real smooth. When it comes to compatibility, the MacBook with the Macintosh operating system makes it difficult to adjust to in the beginning if you are a windows user and opening files, running applications will prove difficult. Gradually though, one will find it quite easy to work with practice.
While the new MacBook is a big step in the MacBook line, unlike the iPod or iPhone, it falls short of being completely revolutionary beyond its unique trackpad. The MacBook is worth the price for most existing Macintosh owners looking for an upgrade. If you do decide to buy one, you will find yourself the proud owner of a light-weight, solidly built laptop that advances the definition of a trackpad beyond what you'll find on most competing notebooks.
