The keyboard is very responsive and comfortable. An illuminated keyboard, a popular feature of the latest MacBook Pro and AirBook comes on the standard MacBook 2.4GHz model, useful for low-light settings, such as in an airplane. The aluminum case of the newest MacBooks not only looks new far longer, but also appears cleaner with fewer smooth, worn out spots at the palm rests or minor scratches from the wear and tear of being carried around.
The new multi-touch trackpad is a major selling point for the MacBook. The trackpad acts as a button as well as a touchpad allowing the user to move freely on the smooth surface. The zoom-in and zoom-out feature works like it does on the iPhone by the pinch method and scrolling is by just passing two of your fingers vertically. After using this MacBook for a while it's going to feel like a huge step back when using the previous versions. On the negative side, the glossy screen can be highly reflective when viewed at an angle.
