A destination spa that aims to please

November 25, 2008
LeoJuventa, a new spa at the Leonia Holistic Resorts in Hyderabad, offers a wide range of treatments. Each massage room is equipped with a Jacuzzi and steam room that you can use in complete privacy. Pick between a Thai massage, a Balinese deep tissue massage or a Swedish massage, amongst others. Follow it up with a steam, or soak in the Jacuzzi or Hamam (ancient Roman bath).

If you're unsure about what you want, ask to see one of the consultants at the spa, who will determine which treatment will be the most beneficial for you.

For those who want to lose some weight and tone up without exercising, try the range of 'Sauna Italia Slim Up' machines that are designed to assist in weight loss, firming and toning of the body. I have to admit, the metal discs they stick to your skin feel rather strange, almost like someone's squeezing and cramping your skin, but then what's a bit of discomfort for the sake of beauty?

These treatments aren't easy on the pocket though -- be prepared to shell out as much as over a lakh for an analysis and 10 sessions of a particular treatment! The massages are lighter on the pocket, priced between Rs 3,000-3,500 for forty five minutes of being thoroughly pampered. Those looking for medical spa (or med spa) treatments will not be disappointed either. These are services that may only administered by licensed medical practitioners.
