Fire of a different kind

As we moved ahead the forest got deeper, and with that increased the number of blooming Palash. We climbed up to Mathaburu, to get a bird's eye view of the plains below, and what we saw was absolutely breathtaking.

It seemed like before the upcoming summer could set this rocky terrain into fire, those pretty flowers were setting the forest ablaze with their bright vermilion colour. They have aptly been named Flame of the Forest.

Airfare for Rs 599 and less!

Soon we reached the hilltop. There were very few lodging options at the hilltop, but somehow we managed to find a lodge with basic facilities.
