It all began with the famous Janet Jackson 'wardrobe malfunction' during Super Bowl XXXVIII on February 1, 2004 in Houston, Texas that enraged the American people. Some even speculated the entire episode was staged.

The incident became a hot topic of discussion in the mass media and talk shows.

Now 'wardrobe malfunction' seems to have become a sort of norm: Negar Khan at the Cannes Film Festival 2006, Carol Gracias at the Mumbai Lakme Fashion Week in 2007 and the most recent one at Rajesh Pratap Singh's show at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, 2008 in Delhi.
