Here, getting wet under the waterfalls is an experience to remember and so is boating on parisals or coracles where they take you near the main waterfall. It is a stunning sight!
While at Hogenakal, don't miss the yummy fish fry (fresh fish is caught and cooked right there).
We even tried an oil massage by the waterfall which was most relaxing.
Overall it was one of the most memorable trips for my parents and myself.
How to get there
Yercaud is 237 km from Bangalore and 353 km from Chennai. The nearest railhead is at Salem, 36 km away.
Hogenakal Falls is about 140 km from Bangalore. The closest railhead is at Dharmapuri, 46 km away.
