At Yercaud we checked into Hotel Tamil Nadu. The room was pretty good with a view of the Yercaud Lake.
Our sightseeing tour started after breakfast. We first went to the Pagoda Point, from where you get beautiful views of the forest and the hills, the perfect place to click pictures.
Other view points were the Lady's Seat, Gents Seat and Child Seat, all offering excellent views of the hills.
There isn't much to do in Yercaud. It is a pretty hill station where you can spend a couple of days relaxing in the peaceful environs. The weather was pleasant when we went there.
The Rose Garden, a beautiful botanical park will appeal to people who like plants and trees.
Post-lunch we went to the Yercaud Lake where my father and I tried paddle boating, which was quite different and also quite tiring, for both of us.
There is not much to shop for in Yercaud either, but one could maybe purchase handloom products in Salem district.
