Pen drives with a difference!

January 7, 2008
A USB pen drive is a USB pen drive. Most of us have at least one, and we rarely pay attention to its brand and origin as long as it serves the purpose. And with falling prices, the pen drive has become more of a commodity too. To a large extent, the same goes for portable hard drives. So how does a manufacturer break through the clutter?

By spicing it up with some jazz and colour, of course. Or by adding elements of robustness to ensure your data is safe. So, if you're in the market for an upgrade or a piece of tech bling, check out these pen drives with a difference:

SanDisk Extreme Ducati Edition USB Flash Drive
This is a product with style and speed rolled into one. You have the attractive industrial design echoing the performance, colors and lines of a Ducati MotoGP motorcycle.

Adding to this product's appeal is technology from world leader SanDisk -- promising a speed of up to 20MB/second, giving it the 'horsepower' for storing and transferring large files, such as images or video, quickly and efficiently.

It comes with added insurance in the form of the included RescuePro Deluxe software, enabling users to recover images, documents, music or other files that they may have accidentally deleted.

So what if you cannot speed down the highway on a Ducati bike, you can still enjoy the 'drive'. The drive comes in 4GB configuration.

Approximate price: Rs 6,790.
