Retractions
April 24, 2008
This exercise helps your posture a great deal during pregnancy. It opens up the chest and tightens the back of the shoulder and upper back, making you stand upright.
Stand with your arms up at shoulder level, elbows bent at 90 degrees. Now pull the elbows backwards while squeezing your shoulder blades towards each other. Feel a contraction in the upper back and back of your shoulder. Slowly release.
Do 10 reps.
