Ajmer: Surreal but lovely

Where to stay
An interesting place to stay is the Mansingh Palace Hotel which is centrally located at Anasagar.
Another decent place is Khadim, a government rest house.
The other hotels in Ajmer include Hotel Regency, Hotel Embassy, Tikam Niwas, Hotel Pravasi Palace, Hotel Ambassador and the Haveli Heritage Inn.

How to get there
Pushkar is located 13 km away from Ajmer. Regular buses and autorickshaws ply between the two places.

Jaipur (132 km) is the nearest airport. Regular trains connect Ajmer to Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Udaipur, Mumbai and Jodhpur.

Distances: Jaipur is 138 kms, Delhi is 392 kms, Ahmedabad is 526 kms, Jaisalmer is 490 kms and Bikaner is 233 kms from Ajmer.
