Sunglasses are essentially protection for your eyes from the sun's harmful UV rays. But over the years, they have grown from a necessity to a fashion accessory, adding to the glamour quotient of any outfit and any occasion.

Sunglasses can make a great style statement without being the most expensive thing in your wardrobe. All you to do is keep abreast with the latest trends and adapt them to suit your personality. Here are some pointers for when you go shopping for those stylish shades:

Bling is in

This year too, bling continues to be trendy when it comes to sunglasses. Crystals and topaz on the side of the shades add colour and vibrance. If you are not comfortable with flashy accessories, don't fret. Designs are more toned-down this year, making this trend popular with men.

Bulgari's new Parentesi and Astrale collections are now set off by crystals, a must-have feature for that seductive yet understated look.
