The enchanting mists of Munnar
We drove around the hills, did the basic tourist spots, dams, waterfalls
and even Echo Point -- terribly multilingual echo there, everything from
Malayalam to Dutch -- but the drive is what we enjoyed the most. And the
hour we spent at a quiet picturesque spot by the winding road, somewhere
close to a popular view point (I cannot recall the name).
As we drove we clicked pictures every 10 metres because it was so
amazingly beautiful. Now, of course, we realise we cannot distinguish
one spot from another in the pictures!
Munnar, to me, is one of the most beautiful places in south India.
Driving down into Salem in Tamil Nadu, was like landing with a thud into
the reality of the plains!
