What is it about a musical that brings out the child in us? That brings in us the urge to get up and just tap, tap, tap away or to cheerfully mouth words like supercalifragilisticexpialidocious?

Right from Warners' 1926 production Don Juan, the first full-length silent film released with a complete musical score, the musical genre has been a platform for slapstick, political commentary, war, romance and drama, bringing some of the brightest of Broadway's stars to the big screen in the process.
