Child actress and scriptwriter Honey Irani (she has, among others, scripted Lamhe, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai and Kya Kehna) makes her directorial debut with Armaan. Ex-husband Javed Akhtar, who last scripted a film, Prem, in 1995 -- has penned its lyrics and dialogues.

Most of Armaan's crew was also part of son Farhan's Dil Chahta Hai -- including art director Yunus Pathan, music composers Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, and hairstylist Avaan Contractor.

Like DCH, the film has been shot in sync sound.

Shot in Mumbai, Mussoorie and Mauritius, Armaan is slated for a May 16 release.
