Diamond merchant and film financier Bharat Shah was remarkably poised as he stated, "I know God has been very kind to me. I had faith that Devdas would do good business, but it has surpassed my expectations in overseas territory. Naturally it makes me very content." Referring to his unfortunate arrest, Shah concluded, "Whatever I suffered was my destiny and nobody can escape one's destiny."
