Though Ram Gopal Varma and Manoj Bajpai were rumoured to have differences, they get together for Varma's production Road. Bajpai has worked with Varma in his productions, Daud, Kaun, Satya and Shool.

Playing a negative character, Manoj Bajpai is being touted as the surprise element of Road. Costar Vivek Oberoi adds, 'Manoj's performance is brilliant. I wish I had done that role.'
