Playing a hood is nothing new for the controversial Sanjay Dutt. He did it with gusto in Subhash Ghai's Khalnayak, Mahesh Manjrekar's Vaastav, Sanjay Gupta's Jung and David Dhawan's recent Hum Kisise Kum Nahin.

Kaante sees Dutt debut as producer. He formed White Feather Films, a production house along with director and buddy Sanjay Gupta. Apparently, the name was chosen because in Latin America, a white feather is considered a symbol of purity and longevity.
