Thalaivar on a sticky wicket

Karunanidhi was seated on a chair in an open jeep, with his son Stalin on one side and grand nephew Dayanidhi Maran on the other.

The vehicle moved behind the cavalcade, men in red and black, and hundreds of people. Women showered flowers on their Thalaivar. It was a spectacle to watch.
