In a major upset, Milind Deora (Congress) wrested the seat from Bharatiya Janata Party heavyweight Jaywantiben Mehta, the Minister of State for Power, in his maiden electoral foray.

Deora, 27, told the media, 'There were a huge number of first-time voters. It is important for young people to enter electoral politics.'
