You should have been at the AMI stadium in Christchurch on Sunday when Sachin Tendulkar held centre stage as India beat New Zealand by 58 runs in the third One-Day International.

The master batsman had never scored a hundred on New Zealand soil and when he did, it came in style. He thrilled the goodly Sunday crowd as he hammered five sixes and 16 fours before retiring hurt on 163 off 133 balls in the 45th over. Indeed, it wasn't surprising that the Kiwi crowd joined the legion of flag-waving Indian supporters in giving him a standing ovation as he walked back to the pavilion.
