Indian juniors loseIndian juniors Amanjot Singh and Megha Vakharia stumbled at the last hurdle at the Volkl Thailand Open juniors tennis tournament, played in Nonthaburi, Thailand.
Chris won the singles championship for the second year in a row. The sixteen year old American left nothing to chance in his convincing win over the Indian. Earlier Singh had defeated local lad and ninth seed Anuwat Dalodom of Thailand 0-6, 6-2, 6-4, while top seed, Megha defeated the fourth seed Petra Teller of Hungary 6-3, 6-1 in the semi-final. As if to make it a perfect day, Chris also captured the doubles championship with partner, Hiu-Tung Yu of Hong Kong over local doubles duo, Anuwat Dalodom and Natapong Pongkunsub winning 6-4, 3-6, 7-5. Unseeded Australian, Casey Dellacqua had a brilliant tournament, also winning both the singles and doubles championships. Celebrating her first ITF singles title, Casey upset 2nd seeded Diana Julianto from Indonesia in the semis, followed by top seed Megha Vakharia of India in the final. Continuing her formidable form, Casey and partner Bojana Bobusic of Australia upended Sandy Gumulya and Septi Nindya Yutami of Indonesia 7-5, 6-1 for the doubles crown.

Amanjot, seeded second in the event, lost to the defending champion Chris Kwon of the United States 2-6, 0-6 in the final, while while top seed, Megha lost to unseeded Australian Casey Dellacqua 3-6, 1-6 in the final.
